Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned on Monday the series of aggressive military and terrorist attacks launched by the Zionist regime against various regions of Lebanon.
In a statement, Baghaei said that the ongoing violation of the ceasefire and the continued aggressive and terrorist attacks against Lebanon constitute a blatant violation of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of an independent country and contradict the basic principles of international law. The attacks directly targeted the security of citizens and economic life in Lebanon.
He considered that the coincidence of the Zionist regime's military attacks with the summer season and the Lebanese government's plans to attract tourists to improve the country's economic situation indicates that the Zionist regime seeks to further disrupt the economy and the well-being of the Lebanese people.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman once again strongly criticized the inaction of the international community, the United Nations, and the Western guarantors of the ceasefire in responding to the Zionist regime's aggressive actions against Lebanon.
He warned of the dangerous repercussions and consequences of the continued and expanding Zionist regime's hegemony on the security and stability of the entire region.
