The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) mourns to the masses of the Palestinian people in the homeland and diaspora the death of Comrade Commander Muhammad Asaad Shallah "Abu Yazan," the National Relations Coordinator and member of the DFLP's Organizational Bureau in the East Gaza Governorate, and one of its most prominent field commanders. He was martyred as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted his displacement site in the Rimal Clinic, west of Gaza City.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on Monday, the Front affirmed that Comrade Shallah was an example of a steadfast national fighter, who spent his life in the fields of popular and organizational work, defending the rights of his people and devoting his efforts to strengthening national unity and building the national ranks in the face of occupation and aggression.
It added: "The deceased was present in every arena of confrontation, steadfast in his stance, his resolve unwavering, even in the darkest of circumstances. He carried the issues of the people in his heart, and embodied in his path the national and humanitarian values in which he believed."
The Front offered its deepest condolences to Shallah's struggling family and to all of the deceased's comrades and loved ones, affirming its loyalty to his journey and its commitment to continuing on the path he followed for the sake of freedom, independence, and social justice.
The statement concluded by affirming that the martyred comrade will remain present in the collective and national conscience, a beacon for future generations to follow in the battle for national liberation.
