Ibb - Saba:
The activities commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) were launched today in Ibb province under the slogan "Far from us is humiliation."
The event was attended by the province’s deputies, including Rakan Al-Naqeeb, Qasim Al-Masawi, Harith Al-Maliki, Muhammad Al-Shabibi, and Muhammad Al-Marisi. Yahya Al-Qasimi, head of the Grievances Redressal Authority in the province, emphasized the importance of reviving the Ashura commemoration to draw lessons from the life of Imam Hussein (AS) in confronting the American-Zionist aggression against Yemen and the broader Islamic nation.
He highlighted the need to uphold the revolutionary values championed by Imam Hussein, who sacrificed his life to uphold the word of God and resist tyrants and oppressors. Al-Qasimi stressed the importance of understanding Imam Hussein’s personality and the reasons behind his uprising against Umayyad tyranny.
He explained that the path of sacrifice and patience, inspired by Ashura, renews determination and resilience in facing global arrogance, correcting the nation’s course, and guiding it toward reform.
For his part, Ahmed Al-Muhajir, head of the Guidance Sector in the province, underscored the necessity of adhering to Imam Hussein’s path, which serves as a model in the nation’s history. He urged focusing on the purpose and goal rather than outcomes, despite the defeat caused by the betrayal of those with weak faith due to ignorance, fear, and personal ambitions.
He praised the Yemeni people’s stance in supporting Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran as a true reflection of Imam Hussein’s legacy of sacrifice and redemption in defending the nation’s causes, reaffirming the commitment to jihad and sacrifice in the path of God.
Meanwhile, Muqbil Al-Kadhi, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, stated that the tragedy of Karbala—the martyrdom of the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)—was a calamity that befell the Islamic nation, necessitating the drawing of lessons, standing firm for truth, and resisting submission to oppressive forces.
He noted that Imam Hussein took responsibility to confront oppressors and restore the nation to the right path after Yazid’s deviation, emphasizing that Imam Hussein’s revolution remains a beacon for all revolutionaries and freedom fighters worldwide in standing against injustice and supporting the oppressed in every era.
