Beirut – Saba:
The Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed on Saturday that the party will not remain silent indefinitely in the face of repeated Israeli enemy violations and attacks, stressing that Hezbollah is capable of confronting the enemy and will emerge victorious.

During his speech at the central Ashura council in Beirut’s southern suburbs, Sheikh Qassem stated, "It is the state’s responsibility to confront Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, which target civilians. The state must exert pressure and fulfill all its duties. This is an opportunity for the state to act."

He added, "Do you think we will remain silent without limits? We are the followers of Imam Hussein, and we declare: ‘Humiliation is far from us!’"

Sheikh Qassem continued, "Yes, we are capable of confronting the Israeli enemy when we have no choice but resistance—and we will prevail because we are fulfilling our duty and relying on God."

He further emphasized, "God knows the timing of victory, but we are always victorious, whether through triumph or martyrdom. We are the sons of Imam Hussein and the master of martyrs, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. We are the children of the golden equation: resistance over humiliation. Humiliation is far from us!"

He criticized voices calling to avoid giving Israel pretexts for new aggression against Lebanon, saying, "Enough with the narrative of not giving Israel excuses—it doesn’t need pretexts. What is happening in Palestine and Syria proves that. Any weak party means Israel will expand further, but this will not happen with us, for we are the ones who say: ‘Humiliation is far from us!’"

The Hezbollah leader questioned, "Is there anyone with a sound mind who thinks logically while we are in the heart of battle, with the Israeli enemy violating the ceasefire, yet some demand we surrender our weapons and strength? Why do some say this doesn’t concern them—is it because they are not targeted, or because they are coordinating with the enemy? Why don’t they acknowledge the resistance's years of deterring the enemy?"

He spoke of Hezbollah’s actions since the start of t Al-Aqsa Flood, supporting the Palestinian people: "We carried out our duty of solidarity, which is a moral, political, and rightful obligation, as we share a common enemy. We acted under the guidance of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who stood firm in his vision of supporting Gaza and its people."

Sheikh Qassem explained, "The enemy planned to start a war on Lebanon in September 2024, beginning with assassinating resistance leaders and members through drone strikes, targeting command systems, and aiming to eliminate thousands of fighters and capabilities—seeking to destroy Hezbollah. This was their plan."

He affirmed, "The sacrifices of our martyrs have given us momentum, the wounded have driven us to greater responsibility, and the people’s steadfastness has been a symbol of high morale. Sayyed Nasrallah spent decades building capabilities, ensuring that sacrifices, no matter how great, do not halt our path."

He added, "Thus, Hezbollah’s Shura Council swiftly filled all positions, and our youth stood firm in the battle of ‘Uli al-Azm,’ striking painful blows against the enemy."

Sheikh Qassem noted that "the solidarity seen during the funerals of Sayyed Nasrallah and Safieddine, the municipal elections, and public support in liberated villages all reflect cohesion with allies, especially the Amal Movement. These are signs of continuity and victory, achieved through sacrifices."

He concluded, "We reached an agreement brokered indirectly by the state with Israel. This marks a new phase—we have upheld our end, and now the state must fulfill its role."

The Hezbollah leader highlighted, "The youth on the frontlines in the ‘Uli al-Azm’ battle faced five Israeli divisions with 75,000 soldiers. How could hundreds confront such a force? God guided them because they prepared and sacrificed. We are confident in divine support—God is with us."
