Franziska Brantner, leader of the German Green Party, called on Saturday for a ban on arms exports to Israeli entity that could be used in the Gaza Strip.
In statements to the German Press Agency in Berlin, Brantner said, "The violation of international obligations in this case is so blatant that the German government must be clear: No more German weapons that could be used in Gaza may be delivered, because there is a risk that this would constitute a violation of international law."
She noted that "more than 400 people were killed while trying to obtain food for themselves and their families in the Gaza Strip."
She added, "There are serious allegations that soldiers were ordered to shoot at unarmed people near aid distribution points, even though there was no threat."
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 56,412 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 133,054 others.
To date, this is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue teams.
