Moscow – Saba:
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Friday that claims of Russian aggression are entirely unfounded, asserting that the collective West represents the true aggressors through their military obsession built on fabricating the "Russian aggression" narrative.
Addressing journalists, Putin declared: "We consider accusations of Russian aggression completely unjustified. We are not the aggressors – this so-called collective West is the actual aggressor".
The Russian leader emphasized his country's sovereign right to determine its necessary security levels and assess potential threats: "It is our right to define our security parameters and evaluate threats approaching from any direction".
He cited international agreements stipulating that no state or bloc can ensure its security at the expense of others' security, condemning Western military escalation as evidence of aggression: "Their relentless military spending surge rests solely on the false premise of 'Russian aggression,' when reality proves the exact opposite".
During his Belarus visit conclusion, Putin challenged Western rearmament plans: "Amid their rhetoric about Russia's alleged aggression, they now demand rearmament. Let them arm themselves – but observe where these expenditures and weapons deployments are directed".
