Brussels – SABA:
The Belgian capital, Brussels, witnessed a massive demonstration on Sunday, with tens of thousands of citizens, civil organizations, unions, and associations rallying under the slogan "We Draw the Red Line" in solidarity with Palestine and condemnation of the genocide war.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), participants sent a clear message that "all red lines in Gaza were crossed long ago, and silence is no longer acceptable." The protest formed a "human sea drawing a red line," where free peoples expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
The march began at Brussels-North Square, attended by Palestinian Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the EU, Amal Jadou, and embassy staff. Protestors formed a massive human chain in the heart of the capital, wearing red clothing to symbolize the "red line" that must not be crossed in the face of crimes against the Palestinian people.
Statements from the Rally:
- Ambassador Jadou stressed that the Palestinian people will never forget this historic stance, reflecting Europe’s living conscience. She called for sustained public pressure to push European governments to support justice and stop the crimes in Gaza.
- "Today, you draw the red line on behalf of all humanity. Today, we say with one voice: Enough siege, enough bombing, enough ignoring children’s rights, enough silence. This protest means everything to our bleeding but steadfast people."
