Gaza - Saba:
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that repeated threats of evacuations and shelling of areas surrounding hospitals are disrupting the work of medical staff and threatening to put the remaining hospitals out of service.
The ministry added in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on Sunday that medical staff, patients, and the wounded lack safe routes to reach hospitals amid the ongoing evacuations and shelling.
It noted that specialized health services provided to patients and the wounded in the remaining operating hospitals are besieged by a shortage of medical supplies and are at risk of being rendered inoperable.
She stressed that Nasser Medical Complex is the sole healthcare facility for hundreds of patients and wounded in the southern Gaza Strip, and its closure is a catastrophe with unforeseeable consequences.
She stated that it is impossible to wait any longer to implement temporary interventions that do not meet the minimum requirements for providing emergency and routine healthcare.
The Ministry warned of the Israeli enemy's failure to respond to international organizations' efforts to increase medical supplies, protect hospitals, and ensure the safe access of patients, the wounded, and health teams to service locations.
