The Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development, Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, launched on Sunday the field visits to inspect and evaluate the level of workplace discipline and attendance compliance in public service units, on the first official workday following Eid al-Adha holiday.
During the launch ceremony, attended by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Monitoring and Performance Evaluation, Abdullah Haidar, Minister Al-Hawali emphasized the importance of discipline across all public service units and the active contribution to improving work performance and public service delivery to citizens.
He noted that the Ministry’s measures, including the deployment of inspection teams to monitor , assess workplace discipline , official attendance in public service units and province offices, fall within its ongoing responsibilities and are not seasonal tasks.
Al-Hawali stressed that the current phase requires intensified efforts to preserve state institutions so they can continue performing their duties effectively, particularly those directly serving citizens. He described workplace attendance, discipline, and service delivery as a national duty that must be fulfilled to the highest standard.
The Minister also highlighted the role of committees in oversight and the activation of the human resources system in administrative units, noting that the Ministry enforces compliance through various measures, including linking payroll systems with human resources management.
For his part, the Undersecretary for Monitoring at the Ministry of Civil Service explained that 178 field inspection teams have been assigned to cover the monitoring and evaluation of workplace discipline across 57 central units and 735 administrative offices at the province level.
