Sana'a - Saba:
Adel Bader, Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, inspected on Sunday the level of work discipline in the Water Sector and the Rural Electricity Authority following the Eid al-Adha holiday.

During his visit, the Deputy Minister listened to officials from the Water Sector, who provided an explanation regarding the level of work discipline and the commitment of general managers and employees to official working hours, ensuring their presence in offices and workplaces to carry out their assigned tasks.

Bader emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to overcome the challenges facing the water sector, especially under current circumstances. He praised the dedication of water sector employees in adhering to official working hours after the Eid al-Adha holiday, which contributes to facilitating , completing citizens' transactions , delivering water and sanitation services.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister reviewed the level of work discipline at the Rural Electricity Authority. He was briefed by the Authority’s Director, Engineer Nabil Muharram, on the employees' adherence to official working hours after the holiday.

In a meeting attended by the Ministry’s Technical Affairs Director, Engineer Abduljabbar Al-Shami, Projects and Planning Director, Engineer Ahmed Al-Mutawakel, and Financial and Administrative Affairs Director, Taqiuddin Al-Muta’, Bader affirmed that the Rural Electricity Authority meets 75% of rural community needs. This requires intensified efforts and integrated roles to address these demands.

He noted that new tasks and responsibilities have emerged following the merger of the Rural Projects and Electricity Authorities under one framework. Bader stressed the necessity for all to fulfill their roles in executing assigned duties and directing any funding to serve rural citizens, considering this a top priority.

The Deputy Minister highlighted the Rural Electricity Authority’s qualified and specialized personnel in technical, engineering, administrative, and financial fields, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing performance and raising professional efficiency to support rural development.

For his part, Engineer Muharram, Director of the Rural Electricity Authority, reviewed the Authority’s responsibilities, the efforts of its staff in improving performance, and the challenges hindering workflow.
