Sana'a - Saba:
Acting Head of the Tax Authority, Waheed Al-Kubsi, reviewed on Sunday the workflow in the authority’s executive units and the efforts being made to develop and enhance tax operations.

Al-Kubsi visited the Executive Unit for General Tax on Large Taxpayers and met with the unit’s Director-General, Jamil Al-Sharjabi, who provided a brief report on the unit’s operations, including its branches in Taiz and Hodeida provinces. Al-Sharjabi highlighted the efforts to improve performance and achieve desired goals under the distinguished partnership between the unit and large taxpayers.

He emphasized the commitment to facilitating tax procedures, keeping pace with technological advancements to improve and streamline services, and fostering absolute transparency between the unit and large taxpayers.

Al-Kubsi also reviewed the workflow at the Executive Unit for Real Estate Revenue Tax, where Director-General Abdulmalik Al-Shahabi explained the efforts to enhance performance and upcoming development projects. Al-Shahabi affirmed that the unit has achieved qualitative leaps in performance, operating under an institutional plan.

Additionally, the acting head of the Tax Authority visited the Executive Unit for Qat Tax and was briefed by Deputy Directors Ahmed Al-Shami and Abdulrahman Al-Siddiq on the unit’s operations and its branches.

During the visit, Al-Kubsi stressed the vital role of the Tax Authority in supporting the state’s developmental efforts despite the repercussions of aggression and blockade. He noted the importance of tax revenues in financing various development projects, particularly as the aggression coalition controls sovereign oil and gas revenues.

Al-Kubsi praised the performance of the executive units and branches across provinces, urging intensified efforts and adherence to general guidelines aimed at simplifying procedures, especially since the authority has fully automated various tax processes.
