Al-Hodeidah - SABA:
The people of Al-Hodeidah Governorate today launched an Eid convoy consisting of over 600 heads of sheep and goats, along with several calves, in support of the frontline fighters on the western coast. The initiative coincides with Eid al-Adha and comes within the framework of the “Promised Victory and Sacred Jihad” campaign in support of Palestine and the causes of the nation.
During the convoy send-off, Governor Abdullah ‘Utayfi praised the continued heroic stances and generous initiatives of the people of Al-Hodeidah, stressing that this convoy is a natural extension of the deep-rooted spirit of public giving, which has remained unbroken since the start of the aggression.
He noted that over the past years, the people of Al-Hodeidah have exemplified sacrifice and valor, leading the way in supplying the battlefronts with men and equipment, turning religious occasions into moments of reinforcement that boost the fighters’ steadfastness and morale.
The governor emphasized that the livestock, money, and labor offered by the people reflect their deep faith in the justness of the battle and their unwavering commitment to defending the homeland against all forms of domination and interference.
First Deputy Governor Ahmed al-Bashri stated that the convoy embodies the spirit of solidarity upheld by the people of Al-Hodeidah, affirming that true Eid joy is realized when the victory and resilience are shared with those defending the homeland from the trenches.
He added that public support for the frontlines has never been a temporary or occasional act but a firm choice and principled stance that expresses the identity of the Yemeni people and their commitment to their core values, no matter the sacrifices or challenges.
Al-Bashri noted that this initiative is part of the broader national liberation struggle and sends a clear message to the aggression forces that the people of Al-Hodeidah remain committed to the path of jihad and will not be deterred from supporting the fighters or confronting the occupiers.
Meanwhile, Abdullah al-Sharif, Director of the Slaughterhouse Authority, and Yahya al-Wada‘i, Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Initiatives Financing Unit, expressed their pride in contributing to the preparation of this convoy. They affirmed that the people of Al-Hodeidah fully recognize the value of honoring the sites of dignity and sacrifice.
They confirmed that the convoy comes as part of the ongoing popular escalation accompanying frontline activities and within the framework of the national campaign to support Al-Aqsa. It serves as a practical expression of Yemen’s unwavering stance on the nation’s causes, especially Palestine, which remains deeply rooted in the Yemeni consciousness.
