Palestinian institutions concerned with prisoners' affairs have reported that the Israeli occupation authorities are holding more than 10,400 Palestinians in their prisons.
A joint statement issued on Wednesday by the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs (governmental), the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, and Addameer Association (non-governmental organizations) stated that "the total number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons as of the beginning of June has reached more than 10,400 Palestinians."
The statement noted that "this figure does not include detainees held in Israeli army camps."
The statement clarified that "among the detainees are: 49 women, including eight female prisoners held administratively (without charge), 440 children, and 3,562 administrative detainees."
The statement indicated that "the number of detainees from Gaza classified as unlawful combatants has reached 2,214," without including all detainees from the Gaza Strip held in Israeli camps, according to the same source.
With American and European support, the enemy has perpetrated genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 54,607 and injuries to 125,341.
