Sana’a - SABA:

Today, Dr. Abdulmu’min Shujaa’ al-Din, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, issued Decision No. (116) for the year 1446 AH, regarding the establishment of branches of the Judicial Inspection Authority in several governorates, based on a proposal by the Authority’s President. The decision includes the following:


  • The establishment of a branch of the Judicial Inspection Authority for the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, and Al-Dhale’, with its headquarters in the city of Ibb.
  • The establishment of a branch of the Judicial Inspection Authority for the governorates of Al-Hudaydah and Raymah, with its headquarters in the city of Al-Hudaydah.
  • Each of the branches mentioned in this decision shall be classified at the level of a department within the Judicial Inspection Authority.

Each branch, within its jurisdiction, shall undertake the following tasks and responsibilities:


  1. Receiving, reviewing, and registering complaints submitted by citizens against judges.
  2. Studying complaints and taking appropriate measures to address them in accordance with the Authority’s regulations, including conducting field investigations if necessary, and reporting violations (if any) to the President of the Authority. Complainants whose cases are dismissed may appeal to the President of the Authority.
  3. Conducting surprise inspections of any individual designated for inspection by the Authority’s President.
  4. Carrying out field visits to courts to monitor judges’ compliance with official working hours, their presence at their assigned locations, and their adherence to scheduled court sessions.
  5. Following up on delayed cases in trial or execution phases, and submitting periodic reports with recommendations to the Authority’s President.
  6. Monitoring judges to ensure the delivery of delayed case files, particularly after transfers, and submitting regular reports to the President of the Authority.
  7. Following up with courts to ensure the submission of monthly and periodic judicial statistics.
  8. Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the President of the Authority.
