Rabat - Saba:
The city of Safi, western Morocco, on Sunday witnessed a protest against the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip. Protesters demonstrated the suffering of the family of Palestinian doctor Alaa al-Najjar, who lost her husband and nine of her children in the Zionist enemy's attack on the Gaza Strip last week.
According to the Palestinian SAFA News Agency, the protest was organized by the Moroccan Initiative for Support and Advocacy. Dozens of participants carried Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against the enemy.
The protesters chanted slogans calling for continued support for the Palestinian cause.
The protest included slogans such as: "We swear by God Almighty that we will not abandon Palestine" and "We are all ready to sacrifice for steadfast Gaza."
The protest also embodied the suffering of the al-Najjar family, as they placed models depicting the bodies of nine of their children, wearing blood-stained robes.
On May 25, the Palestinian pediatrician was shocked to learn that the bodies of nine of her children arrived at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis while she was working there. They had been burned to death in an Israeli airstrike on her home, while Adam, her only surviving child, was injured.
On Saturday, Alaa's husband, Dr. Hamdi al-Najjar, died of his wounds. Their only surviving child, Adam, is still receiving treatment after being injured in the same airstrike.
During the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip, 1,580 medical personnel were killed and hundreds more were injured, according to the latest statistics issued by the Government Media Office in Gaza.
