Gaza - Saba:
Amnesty International has called for an immediate and independent international investigation into the Israeli occupation forces' shooting of starving Palestinians near an aid distribution site in Rafah, describing the incident as "horrific."
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Amnesty International also urged the international community to reject the humanitarian aid plan being weaponized by Israeli occupation forces against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The organization emphasized that the world must take concrete action to end the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, noting that the international community—led by the United States—has allowed this catastrophe and genocide to persist for far too long.
Amnesty International stressed that using starvation as a weapon against civilians in Gaza constitutes a war crime that must be stopped immediately. It pointed out that Israel, as the occupying power, is obligated under international law to ensure the provision of essential supplies to the population.
