Doha - Saba:
Egypt and Qatar announced on Sunday their continued intensive efforts to bridge gaps and overcome points of disagreement in order to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement, the two countries expressed their commitment to reaching a ceasefire agreement based on the proposal put forward by [Wittekof].
The statement added, "In coordination with the United States of America, we affirm our determination to intensify efforts to overcome the obstacles facing the negotiations."
