Doha - Saba:
Khalil al-Hayya, head of the negotiating delegation and head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), in the Gaza Strip, held a phone call with Ibrahim Kalin, Turkish Minister of Intelligence, on Sunday evening.
They discussed the latest political developments and the progress of the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
Al-Hayya briefed the Turkish minister on the latest political contacts and the movement's position on the latest proposal presented by Steve Witkoff as a framework for negotiations, stressing the need for a comprehensive ceasefire, the entry of aid, and the withdrawal of enemy forces from the Gaza Strip.
Al-Hayya briefed Kalin on the details of the ongoing genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people and the Israeli massacre committed by enemy forces yesterday morning against civilians attempting to obtain aid in Rafah.
Kalin, in turn, affirmed Turkey's continued efforts to contribute to achieving a complete ceasefire and ending the policy of starvation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
