A Palestinian child was injured today, Thursday, by live fire from Israeli occupation forces during a raid on the town of Birzeit in the central occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated in a release that its crews in Ramallah dealt with the injury of a 12-year-old child who was shot in both legs during the raid. The injured child was transferred to a hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, an Israeli military force stormed the town of Birzeit and searched commercial stores, sparking confrontations with several residents, according to Anadolu Agency.
Witnesses confirmed that the occupation forces used live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, and tear gas canisters.
Israeli occupation forces regularly raid towns and cities in the West Bank to carry out arrests of Palestinians.
