Rabat – SABA:
Thousands of Moroccans took to the streets on Friday to voice their rejection of the Zionist plan aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, which has been facing ongoing genocide for the 20th consecutive month.
The demonstrations were organized by the Moroccan Commission for the Support of Ummah Causes (a non-governmental body) for the 78th consecutive week, under the slogan “Gaza is Bleeding,” according to Anadolu Agency.
Protests took place in several Moroccan cities, including Chefchaouen, Tangier, Meknes, Ksar El-Kebir (north), Agadir (central), Taza (east), and Azemmour (west).
Participants raised Palestinian flags and banners expressing support for the Palestinian resistance and the resilience of the Palestinian people.
Demonstrators also condemned the continued genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in over 177,000 casualties, mostly women and children, in addition to more than 11,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced civilians.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to implement a deliberate starvation policy against the people of Gaza by keeping border crossings almost entirely closed since March 2, severely restricting the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid. Only minimal aid has been allowed recently, distributed under a new mechanism with U.S. backing.
