Occupied al-Quds- Saba:
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Israel is committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip, stressing that military operations in Gaza will not rescue prisoners.
Olmert asserted in press statements that the call by Israeli ministers to starve and exterminate the population of Gaza constitutes a call for a war crime, without comment from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He pointed out that expanding the war will not achieve any military purpose or objective, stressing, "We are all absolutely certain that there is no achievable objective that would justify continuing or expanding this operation."
A few days ago, Olmert described the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip for more than 19 months as a "futile and aimless war."
He considered that this war "is being deliberately dragged out to avoid ending it and to escape the attempt to rescue the prisoners," noting that more than a thousand senior Israeli military officers believe that the war must be stopped immediately because it is pointless.
