An agreement was reached with his agent, Jorge Mendes, to sign the contract until June 2031, meaning a six-year contract.
The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that Jorge Mendes arrived in Barcelona and met first with Ansu Fati, then with Lamine Jamal, and finally with Deco, the club's sporting director.
The report indicates that Jamal's salary will be significantly adjusted, and negotiations between the parties involved have been flexible.
Spanish newspaper Sport revealed that Lamine could become Barcelona's highest-paid player, taking into account the performance-related variables included in the new contract. The exact salary was not disclosed.
Jamal's contract with Barcelona expires at the end of next season. The young star has made 55 appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals and contributing 25 assists.
