The Russian Defense Ministry announced in a statement today, Sunday, that its air defense forces had downed 51 Ukrainian drones that attacked several Russian regions.

The ministry stated that between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM Moscow time, air defense units successfully intercepted attacks by Ukrainian drones targeting multiple Russian areas.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that 23 drones were shot down over the Kursk region, 12 over the Oryol region, 11 over the Tula region, six over the capital Moscow, and one drone over the Kaluga region.

It is worth noting that the Russian aviation agency lifted temporary restrictions it had imposed, suspending flight operations at several Moscow airports as a security measure to ensure aviation safety.
