Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlad, Minister of Youth and Sports and Deputy Head of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, inspected on Tuesday the Summer Future School for the Deaf and Mute—both the male and female branches—in Shu’ub District of the Capital Secretariat.
Minister Al-Mawlad, accompanied by Iyad Al-Wail, Secretary-General of the Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Deaf and Mute, Abdul Salam Al-Asar, the association’s Projects Director, and Manal Al-Qahali, Activities Coordinator, reviewed the activities provided to the male and female students.
They listened to an explanation from the school’s director, Osama Sharafuddin, about the specialized programs, educational services, and rehabilitation efforts that assist students in communicating and integrating with their social environment, helping them understand and participate in the events around them.
The minister and his delegation also inspected the agricultural project and the irrigation project implemented by the ministry at the school. The Minister of Youth directed the concerned officials to complete the necessary studies for the renovation of the sports field.
Minister Al-Mawlad praised the quality activities and programs carried out at the summer school, commending the efforts of the school’s administration and staff in caring for the deaf , mute and organizing educational and rehabilitation activities.
He urged further efforts to serve the deaf , mute community and provide them with comprehensive services.
