Israeli media reported on Monday evening that an Israeli soldier was killed during a "difficult" security incident inside the Gaza Strip, without revealing further details about the nature of the incident.
The media explained that a serious security incident occurred inside the Gaza Strip, resulting in at least one Israeli soldier being killed after a military force was mistakenly fired upon by another Israeli force, due to a misidentification.
The same sources indicated that two military rescue planes landed at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, carrying wounded soldiers who had been injured during the same operation.
This incident comes amid ongoing Israeli ground operations in the southern and northern areas of the Gaza Strip, which are witnessing repeated clashes and complex contact zones, increasing the likelihood of such fatal errors.
