Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rain in several governorates, and hot to extremely hot weather in the deserts, plains, and coastal areas over the next 24 hours.
The center reported in its weather bulletin that scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected in parts of the governorates of Ibb, Taiz, Dhale'e, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan. Scattered rain may also fall in parts of Mahwit, Amran, Sana'a, Raymah, Dhamar, Raymah, and Shabwah.
According to the center, the weather is likely to be hot to extremely hot in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 36 and 41 degrees Celsius, and between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius in coastal areas.
The amount of rainfall over the past 24 hours, measured at meteorological stations in Taiz (Al-Ma'afer), reached 13.2 mm, and Sana'a (Jihana), with 0.2 mm. Light to moderate rainfall also fell outside the stations' range in parts of the governorates of Saada, Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Hadhramaut, and the Socotra Archipelago.
The center warned citizens against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall, urging them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned of hot and extremely hot conditions in the deserts, interior plateaus, plains, and coastal areas, and advised against direct exposure to the sun during the afternoon.
