Dhamar - Saba:

The Economy, Industry, and Investment Office in Dhamar province on Wednesday announced the destruction of four tons of expired food and industrial products.

These items were seized from local markets and shops over the past few months during inspection campaigns aimed at protecting consumers.

Al-Hassan al-Bukhaiti, Deputy Director of the office, stated that this action follows the Internal Trade Law and Consumer Protection Law.

The destroyed goods, witnessed by representatives from the Public Prosecution and other relevant authorities, included various food products, cleaning supplies, cosmetics, building materials, and car engine oils deemed unfit for use.

Al-Bukhaiti urged citizens to report any expired products to help safeguard public health, emphasizing that consumer protection requires joint efforts from both officials and the community.
