Taiz - Saba:
The Agricultural Sector and the Agricultural Cooperative Union in Taiz province launched on Sunday the distribution of office furniture to agriculture offices in districts and cooperative associations at a cost of 11 million Yemeni riyals.
The initiative is funded by the Agricultural , Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the province.
The launch was carried out in cooperation with the Office of Social Affairs and the Bunyan Development Foundation, reflecting the local authority’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and cooperative associations in the province.
During the inauguration, Taiz Governor’s Acting Official, Ahmed Al-Masawi, emphasized the leadership’s dedication to encouraging agricultural work and supporting agricultural cooperatives while expanding their activities to contribute to development programs aligned with government efforts.
He noted that the attention given to the agricultural sector reflects the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to advance this sector across the province’s districts.
Al-Masawi stressed the need to qualify agricultural cadres and cooperative association members to fulfill their developmental role in this vital sector.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Husseini, Mobilization Official Mohammed Al-Khalidi, and Deputy Governor for Development Affairs Abdulwase’ Al-Shamsi, who described the distribution as a crucial step to enhancing the performance of agriculture offices and cooperative associations in the districts.
He expressed readiness to provide necessary support for agricultural development activities aimed at reducing import costs and improving the community’s living conditions.
Meanwhile, the province’s Agricultural Sector Official, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, stated that the furniture distribution to agriculture offices and cooperative associations is part of ongoing developmental efforts in the province, particularly in training , qualifying association and agriculture cadres.
