Occupied Quds - Saba:
Israeli forces, accompanied by municipal crews, stormed Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, south of occupied Quds, on Sunday.
The Palestinian WAFA News Agency, citing the Quds Governorate, reported that Israeli forces stormed the neighborhood and inspected the site of the demolition carried out by a in Quds citizen of a room he was using as an accounting office.
Israeli authorities had forced the in Quds citizen to demolish the room, which had been built in 2010. The municipality had forced him to pay "financial fines" amounting to 14,000 shekels over the previous years, before serving him a demolition notice last Thursday.
The Quds Governorate added that the Israeli municipality threatened the in Quds citizen that its crews would demolish the room and fine him huge sums of money for workers and demolition equipment if he did not demolish it himself.
Israeli forces also stormed the town of al-Ram, north of occupied Quds, on Sunday.
The WAFA news agency reported, citing the Quds Governorate, that Israeli forces were stationed in the town's center and fired tear gas and sound bombs. No injuries or arrests were reported.
It is worth noting that Israeli authorities force Palestinian citizens, particularly in occupied Quds, to demolish their homes and facilities on their own, claiming they lack permits. Those who refuse to do so are subjected to demolition by Israeli bulldozers, imposing exorbitant costs on the owner.
The Israeli municipality in Quds refuses to grant Palestinians building permits and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes and facilities.
This practice violates international and humanitarian laws that guarantee the right to housing. This practice is part of the Israeli government's systematic practices of forcibly displacing Palestinians from Quds in exchange for the expansion of settlements in and around the city.
