The European Space Agency's radar systems detected an old Soviet space probe known as "Cosmos 482" flying over Germany, ahead of its expected crash to Earth at the end of this week.
According to the German news agency (dpa), the Soviet Union launched the probe in 1972, bound for Venus, but it never reached its destination.
