Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, announced the implementation of a sophisticated operation targeting a group of enemy officers and soldiers east of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.
The Brigades said in a statement on Sunday that the operation began at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, when fighters lured enemy forces by targeting an armored vehicle with an anti-tank missile, resulting in injuries among its crew of officers and soldiers.
It explained that minutes later, the Zionist enemy targeted a center at the scene of the operation with rockets and missiles. A rescue force from the Al-Quds Brigade, the reserve brigade, arrived to aid the targeted force, which was also ambushed by a pre-positioned "Thaqib" explosive device, killing and wounding a number of soldiers.
It is noteworthy that the Hebrew website "Hadashot Be'Zaman" announced earlier yesterday, Saturday, that a security incident occurred, as a number of soldiers and officers injured by an anti-tank missile were evacuated in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, while helicopters were carrying out evacuation operations towards (Tel Hashomer) Hospital.
