The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor documented the deaths of 14 elderly Palestinians in the Gaza Strip over the past week due to complications of hunger, malnutrition, and lack of medical care, these complications were directly caused by Israel through its complete closure of crossings and the prevention of the entry of goods and humanitarian aid since March 2.
The monitor said in a statement that in addition to the relentless death toll resulting from the ongoing Israeli bombardment, a silent death is claiming the lives of the elderly and children in the Gaza Strip.
