Cairo - (Saba):
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Cairo and Doha are coordinating mediation efforts in Gaza with the United States to reach an agreement that will end the humanitarian tragedy in the Strip.
This came in a statement published by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
The statement said: "Egypt and Qatar affirm the continuation of mediation efforts in Gaza, that they are consistent and based on a unified vision aimed at ending the unprecedented humanitarian crisis there."
The statement continued: "Egypt and Qatar affirm that they will not be drawn into any internal contexts or side calculations that do not serve the interests of the brotherly Palestinian people."
It added: "Egypt and Qatar renew their full commitment to working within a clear framework focused on alleviating suffering and consolidating the calm, leading to a permanent solution."
It is noteworthy that the head of the terrorist Israeli government, the war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, accused Qatar in February 2025 of inciting the Arab and Islamic world.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that "the State of Qatar categorically rejects the inflammatory statements issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
Israel resumed its aggression against the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, reneging on the ceasefire agreement with Hamas that began on January 19 and moving into the second phase of the agreement.
