Gaza - Saba:
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the islamic resistance movement (Hamas), announced on Sunday that they had ambushed an Israeli enemy engineering force in a complex operation east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday.

In a statement, Al-Qassam said: "During a pre-planned ambush on Saturday, our mujahideen lured a Zionist engineering force into a booby-trapped tunnel. The operation began with an engagement at point-blank range, during which our fighters eliminated several soldiers."

The statement added: "As additional soldiers advanced toward the tunnel, it was detonated, leaving them dead or wounded. Our mujahideen then targeted two Zionist tanks with 'Yassin 105' rockets. We also monitored the enemy’s efforts to retrieve the dead and evacuate the wounded from the area near 'Al-Zahra Mosque' in the Al-Junina neighborhood, east of Rafah."
