Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Authority, citing its lawyer, revealed on Sunday that the situation in Gilboa Prison is extremely difficult, as the prison administration deliberately suppresses prisoners, storming their rooms, beating them, and assaulting them in a brutal and terrifying manner.
The Authority explained in a statement that many prisoners suffer from broken ribs, hearing and vision problems, and abdominal pain due to blows to the head, eyes, and abdomen by the prison guards. On April 21, 2025, they were subjected to a raid by repression units accompanied by ferocious police dogs, who tore their legs with their sharp claws, causing numerous wounds and injuries.
The Authority explained that the prisoners were subjected to another raid on April 28, 2025, when repression units stormed Room (16) in Section (5), and hysterically beat eight prisoners inside.
For his part, the Commission's lawyer said: "Scabies disease is widespread among prisoners, and there is no treatment available to them. Some of them have boils on their bodies, and they are punished by being denied access to recreation."
The lawyer added: "Prisoner Ibrahim al-Ramadi (23 years old), from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in al-Quds, suffers from migraines and fluid in the heart since childhood. He is in dire need of special medication, but since his arrest he has not received any medication. He has also been diagnosed with scabies for months and suffers greatly from it."
Prisoner Nasser Ba'ara (29 years old), from the city of Nablus, also suffers from broken ribs and bruises all over his body due to the beatings he was subjected to by prison guards during the repression.
