Dhamar - Saba:
Dhamar Governor , Mohammed Al-Bukhayti, inspected on Saturday the progress of summer activities at Abubakar and Al-Nour schools in Dhamar city.
Accompanied by the director of the educational sector in the province, Mohammed Al-Hadi, Al-Bukhayti reviewed the implementation of the summer program's activities and the level of student participation.
Governor Al-Bukhayti emphasized the importance of summer courses and schools in preparing and empowering youth, shielding them from the dangers of "soft warfare," and utilizing their academic break in ways that benefit them intellectually, academically, and physically.
He pointed out that the enemies of the nation are disturbed by these summer schools, highlighting their significance for current generations, especially amid modern technology and social media platforms. These platforms, he noted, make it difficult to create a safe and healthy environment for raising children. He warned that the future could become even more perilous with the unregulated use of satellite internet.
The governor explained that children and adolescents are often easy targets, underscoring the importance of summer programs in guiding them, building their religious, scientific, cultural capacities, and protecting them from moral and ethical breaches.
"We have a responsibility to safeguard our children, teach them the Holy Quran, raise them according to its teachings and values, and educate them on various issues from an early age—primarily matters of religion and the nation," he stated.
Governor Al-Bukhayti praised the enthusiasm of male and female students participating in the summer schools and commended the efforts of teachers, organizers, and all entities contributing to the success of the summer program.
