The General Authority for the Development of Tihama organized a speech event today to mark the anniversary of the "Sarkha" (Scream) against the arrogant powers, under the title "The Slogan is a Weapon and a Stance."
During the event, the Deputy Governor for Services Affairs, Muhammad Halisi, affirmed that the slogan of the "Sarkha" has become a unifying voice for all free people in Yemen and the region, as well as a foundation for the project of liberation, sovereignty, and independence. He noted that Tihama has always been at the forefront of resistance against aggression and occupation.
Halisi highlighted the cultural and political impact of the "Sarkha" slogan, explaining that its targeting by aggressive forces confirms its effectiveness and the threat it poses to their divisive and colonial projects in the Arab world.
For his part, Ali Qadi, Chairman of the General Authority for the Development of Tihama, pointed out that the slogan, launched by the martyred leader Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi over two decades ago, has evolved into an awareness-raising and revolutionary project that has helped expose the policies of American and Israeli tyranny in the region.
He emphasized that commemorating this occasion in civil institutions reflects the growing national awareness of the dangers surrounding the nation. He stressed the importance of continuing to uphold this slogan as a symbol of steadfastness and rejection of foreign subordination and guardianship.
