Gaza - Saba:
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine welcomed the courageous and bold stance expressed by the Libyan ambassador to the United Nations Taher al-Sunni at the Security Council, when he described the suffering of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip as a "holocaust," an accurate description of the crimes of genocide perpetrated by the Israeli enemy against the Strip.
In a press statement issued Thursday, the Front considered this stance a sincere expression of the free Arab conscience and the genuine position of every human being who rejects injustice and aggression, at a time when the major colonial powers, led by the United States, Britain, and France, have rushed to attack and demonize the Palestinian people, despite their full complicity in this holocaust through military and political support and legal cover for the Zionist enemy.
The Front emphasized that the mass killing of children, women, and civilians, the deliberate starvation, the widespread destruction of infrastructure, and the systematic forced displacement taking place in the Gaza Strip exceed in scale and brutality the Holocaust by thousands of times, and constitute a stain on humanity. These crimes target human existence itself, reproducing the atrocities of Nazism and fascism using Zionist methods masked by hypocritical Western rhetoric.
It emphasized that the Security Council session demonstrated once again that the international system, which is supposed to protect peoples from genocide, has become hostage to the interests of colonial powers, which do not hesitate to defend the enemy's crimes while attacking anyone who dares to call them by their true name.
The Front called on all free people of the world and people of conscience to pursue this criminal entity, its leaders, and its supporters, to prosecute them as war criminals, to pressure for an immediate and comprehensive cessation of the war of extermination, to end the siege, and to support our people's struggle for freedom, return, and independence.
