Jenin – SABA:
Palestinians in the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin, laid to rest 12-year-old Mahmoud Abu Al-Hija on Wednesday evening after he was fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces.
The child was struck by live ammunition in the thigh and abdomen while playing with other children in a neighborhood street.
The mourners carried Abu Al-Hija’s body from Jenin Governmental Hospital to his family home for final farewells, then through the streets of Al-Yamoun, chanting against the occupation’s crimes.
Funeral prayers were held at the town mosque, and he was buried in the local cemetery. His death marks the 40th martyr in Jenin Governorate since Israeli aggression began 93 days ago.
