The father of captured Zionist soldier Matan Engrest has sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of abandoning the soldiers.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv quoted Engrest as saying on Sunday: "We are disappointed with the prime minister we chose. Everyone is demanding an end to the war and the return of the prisoners, but we are seeing nothing."
He added: "Netanyahu abandoned soldiers who went to fight for him and prefers to send other soldiers to be killed."
It is worth noting that Engrest, 21, was captured from a tank in Nahal Oz during the fighting there on October 7, 2023.
