Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Russia's inflation situation is gradually changing for the better.
President Putin added during the meeting, according to the Russia Today website: "The issue of inflation is constantly being discussed, and various opinions and ideas are being raised about it." He stressed that "the inflation situation in Russia is gradually changing for the better."
Putin noted that the government and the Central Bank of Russia agree that "if inflation is not curbed, all citizens will suffer."
Russia's inflation rate reached 9.5% by the end of 2024, while the Bank of Russia expects it to slow to between 7 and 8% in 2025.
