Ramallah - Saba:
The Israeli occupation authorities notified on Thursday the seizure of approximately 137 dunams of land in the city of al-Bireh, and the towns of Silwad, Ein Yabrud, Beitin, and Burqa, east of the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate in the West Bank, and the town of Mikhmas, northeast of occupied al-Quds.
Al-Bireh Municipality stated, according to the Palestine Today News Agency, that the enemy's decision aims to expand the settlement road "No. 60" in the vicinity of what is known as "Sha'ar Binyamin" colonial industrial zone, near the "British Police" junction, according to the text of the notifications.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission clarified that these lands have already been seized, and the new notification means that the occupation authorities are exercising the so-called "right to dispose of" in an expropriation order issued in August of last year, related to expropriation orders issued in previous years.
The Commission published a report monitoring enemy violations during August 2024, stating that enemy forces seized 66,762 dunams of land from al-Bireh and the towns of Silwad, Ein Yabrud, Beitin, Deir Dibwan, and Mikhmas for the purpose of expanding Highway 60, starting from the Sha'ar Binyamin settlement to the British Police Junction.
The Commission's report stated that the enemy exercised "the right to dispose of" expropriation orders issued in 1983, 1994, and 1995, which seized a total of 204,377 dunams.
