US President Donald Trump threatened the European Union and Canada with "huge" tariffs on their imports, far exceeding current tariffs, if they cooperate to harm the US economy.
President Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, last night: "If the European Union cooperates with Canada to harm the United States economically, they will be subject to very large tariffs, far above those currently imposed."
The United States previously imposed 25% tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada and raised tariffs on Chinese products to 20%.
