Tehran - Saba:
Iran can return to nuclear commitments provided its rights are not ignored, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said on Sunday.
Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Behrouz Kamalvandi as saying: "In the past (Iranian) year, international relations in various fields with other countries, including China and Russia, have strengthened. Relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have also been strengthened to prove Iran's legitimacy."
Kamalvandi added: "Unfortunately, there is a lot of distortion against Iran's nuclear industry internationally, as they accuse us of not being peaceful, while Iran is subject to the largest number of IAEA inspections. No country is subject to more monitoring than us."
"Although we have a transparent program, unfortunately, the media circulates allegations that we do not deserve. We must confront the enemy's efforts to distort the image of Iran's nuclear industry." He added, "We have sought, through various legal methods, explanatory memoranda, meetings, and media campaigns, to respond to the distortions perpetrated by the Zionist entity against Iran's nuclear program, emphasizing that there is no doubt that justice will prevail in the end."
"The international community is well aware of Iran's legitimacy. After the United States withdrew from the nuclear agreement, Iran was subjected to the greatest amount of pressure."
"They tried to portray Iran as being responsible for these circumstances, while everyone knows that if the Islamic Republic of Iran suspends part of its obligations under Articles 26 and 36, this is linked to the other side's failure to fulfill its obligations, and there is no other alternative."
"Fifteen consecutive IAEA reports have shown that Iran is committed to its commitments. We also waited a year after the United States withdrew from the nuclear agreement, hoping that conditions would improve and that their actions would be rectified."
"In any case, Iran is steadfast and resolute in restoring its rights, and we hope that Western countries, which have tested Iran repeatedly, have realized that pressure on Iran is ineffective and may even backfire."
The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran concluded by saying: "It is impossible to speak the language of force with a great nation like Iran, which has a history spanning thousands of years. We have endured much pressure throughout history, and we are still capable of confronting this pressure." He emphasized: "We have no doubt that we will emerge victorious in the face of the current pressures."
