Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting was held in Sana'a, chaired by Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Dr. Ali Saif, which included Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water Adel Bader and Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Sana'a.

The meeting, which was attended by the National Coordinator of the Water Block, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Haroush, and UNICEF's Head of Water and Environmental Sanitation, Peter Harvey, discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the ministry and its affiliates and UNICEF to support efforts to advance the water sector in Yemen.

The meeting reviewed UNICEF's interventions in the water sector and the prioritization of projects in the 2025 plan, the projects that will be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Electricity and Water , its affiliated units , entities, and what was achieved during the year 2024.

At the meeting, the Minister of Electricity and Water stressed the keenness to strengthen coordination with UNICEF, the main partner of the water , sanitation sectors, to support the efforts of the ministry , its institutions in providing water , sanitation services to citizens and alleviating their suffering in light of the current conditions.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water expressed hope that UNICEF's support for water and sanitation projects will continue, and that the support will be utilized to implement sustainable projects in the water sector.

The UNICEF Deputy Resident Representative expressed readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Electricity and Water, its agencies and institutions, and support its efforts to continue providing water and sanitation services to citizens.
