The Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday that the forces of the "North" group of the Russian army liberated the town of Nikolsky in Kursk region.
The ministry said in a statement carried by Sputnik Agency: "During offensive operations, units of the "North" group liberated the village of Nikolsky, where they defeated formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Goncharovka, Goyevo, Zaulishchenka, Korilovka, Lebedivka, Makhnovka, Milovoye, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorochina, Oleshnia, Rubanshina and Sudzha, and two enemy counterattacks were repelled."
