French President Emmanuel Macron has called for a meeting on Monday with key European nations to discuss European security.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated on Sunday that Macron will bring together major European countries for discussions on security, without specifying the participating nations in this *"working meeting."
The meeting follows the conclusion of the Munich Security Conference in Germany, where U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance delivered a sharp speech criticizing the European Union, accusing it of restricting freedom of expression.
Vance also suggested that the United States may consider negotiating on Ukraine without European involvement.
In response to the criticism, Barrot asserted: “We will not take lessons from anyone. We must overcome our inferiority complex and will not allow anyone to intimidate us.” He further emphasized, “We will not accept any form of interference.”
