Sputnik Russian Agency confirmed that scientists from the Saratov National Research State University have found that noise can improve the work of complex systems such as transportation, computers or neural networks.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science reported that this discovery can help in studying the work of the brain and creating more effective artificial intelligence.
Noise is traditionally considered a source of distraction and error, for example in communications technology or the operation of computers, however, new research shows that it can play a constructive role, said Tatyana Fadivasova, professor at the Department of Radiation Physics and Nonlinear Dynamics at Saratov University.
