First Deputy Prime Minister, Allamah Mohammed Muftah, met today with Director of Public Works Project, Eng. Saeed Ahmed.
The meeting discussed the status of the project and the projects that have been and are being implemented by it at the level of the capital and governorates, the problems it faces and ways to address them.
The project director gave a comprehensive presentation on the project, its objectives, its work plan for the current year and the nature of its interventions, which include the sectors of education, health, agriculture, fisheries, water, sanitation, social protection, and road paving and asphalting.
He touched on the direct and indirect impacts of the projects implemented by the Public Works Project on society and its vital role in providing various job opportunities for the unemployed.. stressing complete transparency in the project's activity.
Allamah Muftah stressed the government's keenness on the continuity of the project's activity and its independence in performing its tasks in accordance with the decision to establish it, in a way that serves the stability and development of its activity and carrying out its function as prescribed for it.. expressing appreciation for the role of the project and its valuable contribution to society.
