US Senator Bernie Sanders stressed that Gaza, which President Donald Trump considers "real estate," should be rebuilt for the Palestinians, not wealthy tourists.

This came in a post by Sanders on his "X" account on Monday, in which he addressed Trump's plan to seize Gaza and forcibly displace Palestinians from it.

Sanders noted that more than 47,000 Palestinians have been martyred and 111,000 injured in Gaza.

On Sunday evening, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One: "I'm committed to buying and owning Gaza."
